Jeanne-Vida Douglas, editorial director, Filtered Media
Jeanne-Vida Douglas is a writer, video producer, author of The Profit Principle, MC and occasional sonneteer. She is currently the editorial director at storytelling agency Filtered Media, a company she joined in late 2013. An award-winning business journalist, she has worked with some of Australia’s most respected publications, including BRW, The Australian Financial Review, and The Sydney Morning Herald. JV, as she’s known by many, started her online career in high school with a kids’ site on Videotext, a precursor to the internet. After a brief dalliance with a dot.com, her journalism career began in 1999 at Australian Reseller News with then editor Mark Jones. She studied Linguistics in Canberra, Literature in Mexico, and IT and Economics in Sydney. She has a couple of certificates in Floristry, and an enthusiastic interest in science. JV has two fabulous kids who make her smile, makes superb salads, is a long distance runner, ocean swimmer and yoga junkie.
