Louise Williams, partner, Write Media

Louise Williams is a Walkley-award winning journalist, writer and editor and a former foreign correspondent, foreign editor and columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. Louise spent more than a based in Manila, Bangkok and Jakarta, and still writes regularly for Fairfax publications as a contributing Leader writer for the SMH. She has written or contributed to a number of books on Asia and was the recipient of an Australia Council Asia Pacific Writers’ Fellowship and the Citibank Pan Asia Journalism Award (in conjunction with Columbia University). Louise is a Research Associate with the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney, and teaches writing through the Centre. As a co-founder of the WriteMedia Network, she consults to the training, university, research and not-for-profit sectors in Australia and Asia. Louise consults on a wide range of writing tasks from major competitive grant applications to research writing, and from website development to editorial content.
