Simon Small, executive planning director, Isobar
Simon has been in digital strategy for 8 years, founding digital agency Friendly in South Australia before selling it to FNUKY Advertising agency. Simon has been a digital industry advocate for a number of years, first establishing industry body Love Digital (later merged into Marketing Magazine) and in 2009 co-founding the Social Media Club of Melbourne. Simon has also been heavily involved in AdSchool, the Communications Council’s education initiative, where he is head lecturer in digital strategy and re-wrote the national curriculum for the digital strategy course.
Simon works across a number of Visual Jazz’s strategic clients, working closely with Holden as well as other key clients Lend Lease, Jetstar, David Jones, Medibank Private and JB Hi-Fi. Social media is a particular focus of his efforts, having established best practice processes and a team of Community Managers who manage social influencers, promotional campaigns, bought advertising, customer service and crisis management.
