Yianni Konstantopoulos, group managing director, Social@Ogilvy, Ogilvy PR
Yianni joined the Social@Ogilvy team from Washington DC, bringing with him over a decade of impact in business development, digital strategy execution, team leadership, and strategic marketing experience. In his most recent role, he served as a senior member of the strategy and business development team at Blue State Digital, the world-renown digital strategy and engagement firm best known for its work on both President Barack Obama’s election campaigns.
While at Blue State Digital, Yianni helped the firm continue a period of rapid and sustained growth in emerging and innovative industries, and was able to add several leading organization’s to the firm’s roster, including The Nature Conservancy, Martha Stewart Living, the Dow Chemical Company, PBS, and many more. His notable work included creating cross-platform and integrated social media and digital campaigns that included launching new corporate websites, custom developed applications, and re-engineering client email communications programs. Yianni is a recognised leader in understanding how social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube can be leveraged to unlock tangible business value to the enterprise. Immediately prior to Blue State, Yianni spent two years with Avendi Media, a boutique design agency where he managed the organization’s strategic growth and marketing efforts leading to a doubling of the firm’s active client roster and annual revenues.
Before that, he served in senior capacities at the Corporate Executive Board and the World Bank. Yianni is a graduate of the George Washington University. When not busy driving client initiatives, he can be found outside travelling with his wife Lisa, coaching the FC Spartan Glory soccer club, training for marathons, or just playing with the couple’s dog, Apollo. He’s also known to experiment wildly in their kitchen.
