The search is on for Australia’s best journalism of the past year, with entries now open in the 2015 Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism.
The awards are open to all Australian media for work published on any platform between September 1, 2014 and August 31, 2015. Entries close at 5.00pm sharp on Monday August 31, 2015
Thirty-four categories encompass; multimedia storytelling, news and feature writing, artwork, cartoons and photography, radio and TV reporting, interviewing, business, international reporting, sport, indigenous affairs, social commentary and investigative journalism. The overall award – the prestigious Gold Walkley – will be selected from all category winners by the Walkley Advisory Board.
Entries are also open for the Nikon-Walkley Awards for Excellence in Photojournalism.

The Walkley Foundation also invites nominations for two of the awards:
- Outstanding Contribution to Journalism (chosen by the Walkley Trustees )
- Leadership (chosen by the Walkley Advisory Board)
