Finalists announced for freelance, women’s leadership awards

The Walkley Foundation is delighted to announce finalists for the 2016 Women’s Leadership in Media Award and the Walkley Freelancer of the Year Award.

The Women’s Leadership in Media Award

This national award honours and celebrates women who are making a contribution to gender equality. Supported by PwC Australia, this award recognises outstanding journalistic contribution to the coverage of gender equality and full participation of women in society. Learn more about the award here.

Walkley Award for Best Freelance Journalist of the Year

The Walkley Award for Best Freelance Journalist of the Year recognises the unique contribution that freelance journalists make across all media platforms to the future of the industry and is open to residents of either Australia or New Zealand.
