The Media Alliance and the Walkley Foundation's research into what the future holds for the media.

Following the success of volume one two years ago, in December 2010 the Media Entertainment & Arts Alliance launched Life in the Clickstream Vol II: The Future of Journalism. The report aims to take the pulse of the Australian media and to build an accurate follow up picture of the extent and pace of industry change in the last two years.

How do (and will) our newsrooms look? How will journalists’ jobs change with technology and business conditions? How will journalism itself change? There is no doubt that some new tools and aps, developed almost daily, will allow journalists to tell stories in vivid and exciting ways, using video, podcasts and slideshows, running full interviews online, showing documents and research trails for a richer experience.
