The Walkley Foundation promotes discussion and debate on media issues around Australia through a series of Media Forums.
The Walkley Foundation in conjunction with Ernst & Young annually host Media Forums around the country. The aim of the forums is to bring journalists together to discuss issues that concern them and their industry, both locally and globally. These forums bring together senior journalists and experts with past speakers such as Colleen Egan, Sean Parnell, Hedley Thomas, Cathy Border and Mike van Niekerk.
2009 Forums
This year the forums have focused on Freedom of the Press and FoI Laws, tying into the release of the Media Alliance's Press Freedom Report for 2008-2009, Life in the Clickstream. You can find more information on this, and download a cpy of the report on the Future of Journalism website.
