You've seen the incredible spread of finalists, now find out who gets to take home the pointy trophies for the best in Australian journalism as the winners of the 54th Walkley Awards are announced on Thursday November 26.

The Awards ceremony will include a quirky take on the year that was with entertainment from Roy and HG, the Prime Minister (aka Anthony Ackroyd), Gerry Connolly and Dan Illic. You can also relive the year's big stories through photography, cartoons and artwork as well as print, TV, radio and online reporting.

This year marks the first time Walkley Awards will be given in three new categories:

  • Best Online Reporting
  • Best Scoop of the Year
  • Outstanding Continuous Coverage of an Issue or Event
