Andrew is co-host of Australia’s highest-rating weekend breakfast show Weekend Sunrise, as well as the hugely popular host of the long-running game-show Deal or No Deal.

Andrew’s television career started in 2003 as a character actor and writer for the AFI-nominated sketch comedy series Big Bite.

Since then, in addition to Weekend Sunrise and eleven seasons of Deal, he has hosted two seasons of The Rich List and the made-for-HD impro chat show This Is Your Laugh.  He has also co-hosted the historic tri-network tsunami appeal Reach out to Asia and the Logie Awards.

Andrew also has extensive experience in improvised comedy and was a member of the Australian team that won the World Improv Championships at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 2001.

Andrew originally trained as a lawyer, following in the footsteps of his father, the esteemed former Supreme Court judge Barry O’Keefe. He worked for five years in intellectual property litigation with Allens Arthur Robinson.

He is lead Ambassador and past-Chairman of the White Ribbon Campaign to prevent violence against women and was a member of the expert Committee which drafted Australia’s National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children.  

Andrew also trained as a classical singer (baritone), and has an A.Mus.  His musical theatre debut was in the role of Herod in The Really Useful Group’s 2013 sell-out national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, where he performed alongside Tim Minchin, Mel B and John Stevens.  Next year he will perform in the Queensland Performing Arts Centre production of The Pirates of Penzance.
