Mark Drasutis is News Corp Australia’s head of innovation responsible for driving the product innovation agenda across the business, connecting with the entrepreneurial & digital community and creatively recombining the core assets of the business in new ways.
Mark has over 18 years of international experience in digital publishing. He joined News Corp Australia in 2012 from Yahoo! where he spent five years in a variety of senior director consumer and product marketing roles with remit over the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
Prior to Yahoo!, Mark worked at AOL for five years in publishing, experience and development roles responsible for delivering digital products for the brand, again across Europe.
Mark began his career in digital media & production at companies such as EMAP, The Economist and Sportal.

Tell us a bit about you – how did you get to where you are today?
18+ years in digital media, I started out at EMAP in the UK on their electronic products for magazines, then moved onto The Economist to redefine & deliver their digital offering, then onto AOL in Europe and onto Yahoo! EMEA as head of the product teams there, delivering to 250m+ consumers new, delightful digital experiences. Then, moved to Australia in 2013 to have a change of scenery and take on the challenge to move News Corp Australia to a multi-platform, customer centric content business …with digital at the core
What are your career highlights?
There are many, but delivering The Economist digital edition, with subscription in 1999, and changing the perception of what this brand can be to consumers digitally, reinventing the media channels at AOL and Yahoo! alongside seeing the spread of a culture of collaboration & innovation here at News Corp Australia
Who or what inspires you to get out of bed in the morning?
Seeing customers delighted by the products I or my teams have delivered to them digitally.
