Patrick Abboud is a fearless storyteller working across TV, radio, online and the arts.
An award-winning and Walkley nominated journalist, Patrick has reported from across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia gaining unprecedented access to unique people, places and stories that fall outside of the news cycle. Patrick is also an accomplished presenter, shooter, producer, director travelling alone on assignment to create compelling documentaries. 2015 will see him continue his work on SBS TV’s nightly news, tech and culture program The Feed (which he successfully pitched the initial concept for) as well as filing for SBS flagship international current affairs program Dateline. He spent his early career as a radio presenter and producer.
Pat also moonlights as an independent multi-media artist creating interactive installation works for theatre and public spaces. He’s been commissioned to collaborate with some of Australia’s most renowned cultural producers including The Sydney Opera House. Pat also writes a column for the Gay News Network. In his spare time he facilitates arts and media making projects with diverse and underprivileged communities.
