The Freelance Journalism Convention is presented annually by the Walkley Foundation and the Media Alliance, alternating between major Australian cities.
In 2009 the Convention was held in Melbourne in March, featuring international keynote speaker Mark Schapiro from the Center for Investigative Reporting in Berkeley, California.
