Asher Moses (@ashermoses) won the Walkley Foundation’s Young Australian Online Journalist of the Year Award in 2008 for his report on then-Prime Minister John Howard’s staff editing Howard’s Wikipedia profile.
Asher started his own gadget review website over 10 years ago at age 14 and has since written news, features and reviews for most of Australia’s leading technology publications. His work over the past five years at Fairfax Digital – most recently as its national Technology Editor – has won him a swag of awards including several IT Journalism awards (such as Best Consumer Technology Journalist for two years in a row).
Judges’ comments:
“Andrew’s story generated considerable public debate and further disclosures about editing by other groups, including the media.”
