Judges’ comments:

“Collins’ three submissions showed versatility across diverse subjects , with the common thread of thorough research and impeccable storytelling. His piece on the rise and fall of artist Nigel Milsom superbly highlighted the complex issue of drugs, crime and mental health, and a road trip to the flood affected town of Grantham resulted in compelling interviews with previously unheard local voices.”
