Judges’ comments:

“Elise applied an analytical approach to a deeply personal story to produce a confronting piece of journalism.  Her video diary, filmed over several months, employed a range of innovative filming techniques to offer a raw insight into the agonising choices that come with hereditary cancer. She managed to balance the emotion of the story with evidence based information, which ultimately encouraged hundreds of Australian women to investigate their own family history.”
