2020 Walkley Documentary Longlist Screenings (Sydney)

Six outstanding documentaries longlisted for the 2020 Walkley Awards for Excellence in Journalism will be screened at the State Library of NSW in Sydney in October, giving the public a free viewing of the finest work in the field over the past year.

NOTE: Due to COVID-19 regulations there will be a limit of 30 seats for each screening.

The films will be screened for the public at the State Library of NSW in the Metcalfe Auditorium on Wednesday October 14 as follows:

SCREENING SCHEDULE:

  • 12 Noon: An Australian Hero: Keith Payne VC, Max Uechtritz, Ray Martin and Andrew Taylor, SBS
  • 1.10pm: Loyalty and Leaks: The Untold Gilmore Story (part 1), Michael Pignataro, WIN News, WIN Network
  • 2.10pm: Against Our Oath, Heather Kirkpatrick, Waratah Films
  • 4.00pm: Storm in a Teacup, Karen Williams, Nia Pericles and Celia Tait, ABC and Artemis Media
  • 5.10pm: Debi Marshall Investigates: Frozen Lies (part 3), Debi Marshall, Chris Thorburn, Madeleine Hetherton, Rebecca Barry and Team, Foxtel and Media Stockade
  • 6.20pm: Revelation (part 3), Sarah Ferguson, Nial Fulton and Tony Jones, ABC and In Films

The winner will be announced via live broadcast on SKY NEWS EXTRA (Foxtel Channel 604) and streamed on the Walkley website from 7.00pm AEDT on Friday, November 20.

This event is FREE however spots are limited and registration is essential to secure your place. You will need to book separately for each screening.
